Yesterday Mrs Squirrel brought 2 of her babies to visit the garden. They were very pretty and explored the garden well. One of the pair stuck out as the more adventurous 0f the two or so we thought! Until the second squirrel suddenly launched itself from the wall straight into the small fir bush at the back of the shed. Not that that was enough it must have liked it so much it ran straight back round and did it again! I did try to get some pictures but failed miserably if I spot it doing it again I will try again or will even try to get it on video.
This is baby number 2 just after landing it is not a very good picture but it gives you an idea.
It was quite funny watching them when they found the nutboxes for the first time, they walked round them, scratched at them, sniffed at them, dug through the empty shell round them, then one of them must have watched mum and finally managed to lift the lid to get to the nuts.
However the thing that amazed me most today was something Mrs Squirrel did!
