The snow came overnight.

 

We woke up to find about 3-4 inches of snow had fallen, we went to Tesco came out and it had all gone! They have weird weather up here in Scotland!

The journey to Scotland went with no hitches. We did it in good time and arrived in good spirits.

A game of peek-a-boo

The squirrels were back in the garden today chasing round and bouncing around like "Tigger".
They were up and down the tree, across the cross bar and over the shed roof fast as rockets. The only thing they stopped for was to grab a bite to eat or a quick game of Peek-a-boo...

A quiet day at home

I didn't feel like doing much today. I didn't even feel like getting dressed, so I didn't.
Mum called round this afternoon that was a lovely surprise, it is always an enjoyable addition to any day when Mum visits. As I have said before I really do not spend enough time with her!

I have not been outside today so I tried to take some photo's through the window. There was not really anything to take. I spotted a cloud in the sky outside the bedroom window so I tried to do something with that!

I played with it for a while and I finished with one that I decided I was fairly happy with.

A beautiful hound dog...

The 2 squirrels in the garden this evening were eyeing each other up in a very odd way.
One of them was high up in the tree eating a plum while the other one sat on the fence.

They stayed like this for a while then the squirrel up the tree made the next move, he put his plum down,

He had a stretch 

A quick look down, she was still there on the fence

He took a death defying leap, landing on the fence

She was gone! where was she? Squirrel looked around the garden she was not to be seen, then he looked up there she was up high in the tree.

She was stealing his plum, how could she?

Knowing she had been seen she made a run for it.

It was a hard climb,

He watched her deciding what to do,

Suddenly he sprang into action and followed her up the tree.

He caught up with her, 

she must have said sorry, he must have forgiven her.

Because they made friends...

Could it all have been some sort of Squirrel foreplay?

is nothing like the above. I did not take todays photo of the day it is courtesy of Tony. We met this beautiful little pup in Leeds this morning with his owner, I don't know his owners name I never thought to ask!

April has arrived and no fools here!

The first of april already.
Still the weather is acting like winter.
Did the Easter Bunny call at your home this weekend? he seemed to pass our's by! However Tony came to the rescue with a big bag of chocolate, he always seems to save the day one way or another!

The garden is still very quiet and empty due to all the cats in the neighbourhood using it as a walkway, I have discovered they do not like the water pistol when I am in the shed, it makes them run very fast.
I think I should maybe try and get a larger one that reaches the garden from the bedroom window so when they appear and I am indoors I can do the same. They take no notice of the hand clapping or window banging anymore neither do the pigeons. They just look at me as if to say "yeah and ?" then carry on. I think a big mega blaster water pistol would make them think again at least for a while!

Well because the garden has been so quiet there has not been a lot to photograph so you will just have to bear with me if you get a few photo's of similar birds or squirrels.
