A recovering cat, new squirrels and who is that strange person?

Pepper Lynsey's cat finally got his wound stitched

No-one is sure how he got the wound, the vet said it did not look like a fighting injury so we will probably never know.

So for now Lynsey is scratching the places Pepper cannot reach, within reason, she was scratching his head today but stopped very quickly.
Pepper had a lump on his head which seemed to be getting smaller. However as Lynsey was scratching his head the top came off and it burst. I am sure you can imagine the rest, Lynsey was not impressed.

Lynsey sent this picture saying "she cleaned it out with a cotton bud and this is what his head looks like now".
Poor Pepper seem's to have more wounds and abscesses than his fair share. Lynsey was told he would calm down and stop fighting after he was neutered but it just doesn't seem to have happened.

Well on a lighter note the garden has been busy, lots of birdlife and squirrels.

Young Robin stood out in the rain watching me fill the feeders I am not sure who was the daftest!

One of the young Sparrows flew onto the bird bath to have a drink of water. This was before I had filled it so the water was very low. The sides of the bath can be very slippy as the young Sparrow found out.

He came for a look

He lent farther over,

into the water he slipped

just at the last moment managing to fly out.

It didn't put the sparrow off too much as soon as the bird bath was filled he came back for a drink.

The Squirrels are rushing about burying nuts, stopping to eat a few, and the sunflower seeds are going down a treat with Mrs Squirrel again.

I think we have a couple of new Squirrels in the garden again, I have not managed to take a picture of one of them but this is the other one.

He is a very timid male easily scared off by any other squirrel, or large bird that comes into the garden. Any loud noises like Margaret throwing her rubbish into the bin or the magpies call.

He does however wait for the food to be put out, runs down grabs a couple of nuts then disappears up the sycamore tree.

Now for something completely different, make the most of it you may never see it again!

This is me with my youngest grandchild, Logan.

Until the next time...
