We have had a war with giant spiders, the first sighting was in the bathroom. Then we spotted one in the bedroom, then another, then one night while Tony was reading one ran across the bed. I was begining to get paranoid, I saw spiders everywhere. Every time a shadow moved I thought it was a spider. It was time to do something about these spiders.
Tony purchased a spider deterrent, it is plugged in the bedroom socket. This is supposed to work through the electric cables to scare the spiders away. I have to admit since we have had it I have not seen a spider in the flat.
There is one making a home in the garden near Margaret's water tap.

The young Robins are nearly fully coloured
The Goldfinches are calling into the garden again.
The Wren is singing while flitting around hunting bugs.
Mrs Squirrel is gnawing her bone again so that means more baby squirrels soon.
Today we went to the Redbrick Warehouse. There we bought the newest addition to our corner.
Meet "Liquorice" the cat that takes no looking after, does not need feeding, and is most certainly house trained.
Liquorice will live in the corner of the living room looking at home along with the wolf and Betty Boop.
Lynsey's cat Pepper has been in the wars again, he came home with a gaping wound in his side but how he has done it seems a mystery.
Lynsey had to starve him from last night to take him to the vets today so the vet could have a good look and stitch him up. When she got there she was told it was too late to do it today she would have to go back at 8 am in the morning.
I imagine Lynsey was not happy because they had made the appointment for that time, they knew what it was for so surely they must have known that there would not be enough time.
So poor Pepper has gone all day today with no food or water and he is going to be starved again from 9pm tonight and no water either. I hope they see to him tomorrow or I would not like to see what Lynsey's reaction may be.
Until the next time...
