I have not been outside today, the photo was taken through the kitchen window. The bird stood on the outhouse roof, looking round the garden probably looking to see what mischief he /she could cause.

The Magpie
The Magpie has a reputation for wiping out songbirds, but research shows that it's fondness for eating eggs and chicks has little overall effect on populations.
