We have had a bit of a busy weekend!
On Saturday we went to york racecourse car boot sale, Elvira took us in her car, she and Tony take turns to drive, I just sit in which ever car and try to stay awake. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, but I don't think I have got as far as snoring in the car yet! I am sure one of them will tell me if I am wrong.
Any way Elvira bought a garden bench at the car boot which Tony very kindly carried back to the car for her...
When we first arrived at the car boot I had a bit of a do, I was hit by a car...
This is the car that hit me...
This is the man that drove the car that hit me...
You don't have to worry I am ok, the car hit me on the back of my right leg, (which is my bad leg) I think it was the shock more than the bump that affected me. The man said he never saw us, there was three of us all stood together, none of us are what you can call light weight, his wife was shouting at him to stop because he had hit me, he was just going to carry on driving. I think he was more bothered about his selling spot. Well anyway I am fine the stewards saw what happened and had a word they kept asking if I was alright every time they saw me, I have been ok since I have a bit of an ache in my leg but I sometimes do so I think it is just normal.
Now lets move on to Sunday...
On Sunday we had a ride to Morecambe and Bentham to visit Tonys sons.
We went to Morecambe first to visit Carl and his family, not forgetting their hyperactive dog Harry.
Meet Harry.
Morecambe was very quiet, in fact it looked like it was closed, high season, August and the sea front was empty. The shops were shut, there were no people about it was like a ghost town.
I did take some pictures but there really didn't seem to be much there...
The only other photograph I have to put on is...
Just Jack
Jack is one of Tonys grandsons, he didn't seem very happy about me taking his picture for some reason but what can I say thats Jack...
Now we move on to Bentham...
On our way to Bentham we passed a sign at the side of the road that amused us both, every one see's signs saying "pick your own strawberries" well this one was a little different,
We arrived at Richards and Tony was pleased to receive a late birthday and fathers day present, a bottle of wine and a bottle of whiskey. That will keep him happy for a while.
Tony had a great time playing with Oliver his youngest grandson it is obvious that Oliver loves his Granddad you can tell by the way he looks at him,
Tony always has to play with Levi as well as Oliver otherwise Levi gets a bit jealous and makes his feelings know...
Chiggy on the other hand doesn't play she sits and watches from a safe distance...
Back home in the garden, the squirrels are calling sometimes three at a time, the new visitor usually comes alone. He has mastered the ball feeder on the shed and seems to prefer this to the nut boxes.
He nearly fell off
He was a quick learner.
The birdlife is very scarce I think they are hiding from the sparrowhawk which has been spending a lot of time in the area. They are so nervous they dive into the bushes when the pigeons fly over the garden.
That reminds me speaking of pigeons, I bought a pump action water gun from a car boot sale, it works wonders with the pigeons...
